Viva Pinata was, and I mean this in the best possible sense, an odd game. It was one of those titles that you should hate if you’re over the age of ten. And yet, you didn’t. It had game play leaking from every conceivable orifice and for that reason it was brilliant. Plus, it kept the Missus and the kids quiet for hours on end during the football.

Well, peaceful times are soon to be upon us again, for the second in the series is due to arrive at the beginning of September. No matter how giddy excited you are, though, we strongly suggest keeping a lid on your exuberance when your next down the pub. Viva Pinata was a great game but the fact that you liked it should remain a dirty little secret that remains that way until your Pinata funeral.

The new game will feature a larger Pinata island, oodles loads more Pinata species, including some that won’t really want to come into your garden and you’ll have to coax them. New areas including the Pinartic will feature new species too.

The 5th Septmber is the date to put in your kid’s diary so that you don’t forget to buy it – remember it’s name too, Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise.
