Alone In The Dark Hitting All The Right Notes
Alone In The Dark, created and published by Atari and Eden Games, is hitting the headlines for all the right reasons, winning over gamers and the media in equal measure. Despite being released only a couple of short weeks ago, Alone in the Dark is beating its contenders in the Xbox 360 game charts hands down thanks to what is being dubbed as an innovative cinematic experience previously unseen on a console game.
Having already won several titles including Game of the Week and Game of the Month awards, Alone in the Dark is picking up accolades because of the way it immerses players into the game. Game immersion is becoming a more and more integral factor in the overall success of a title. Improved graphics and much more powerful gaming engines give improved scope for developers to generate games that look, sound, feel, and play more like TV and film blockbusters than like video games of old.
Praise is forthcoming from around Europe, not just from the UK. In fact, it hit the top of the charts in the UK, France, and Germany within the first week of hitting shelves and its popularity has just increased since then.
Alone in the Dark is currently available throughout Europe on the Xbox 360, PC, Wii, and PS2 – PS3 owners will have to wait until later in the year to get hold of their own copy. Our advice is to follow the title to the letter, dim the lights and prepare yourself for some serious gaming sessions.
