What’s New On XBox Live?
Barely a week goes by without a few new RockBand tracks to download off Xbox Live and this week is no different. 5 new tracks are available, all at a price of 160 Microsoft Points a pop and include 2 tracks by Rush, 2 by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and 1 by Vesuvius. The tracks are:
- - Promised Land (Vesuvius)
- - Working Man (Rush)
- - Closer to the Heart (Rush)
- - Tell Me Baby (Red Hot Chilli Peppers)
- - Snow (Hey Oh) (Red Hot Chilli Peppers)
Also released this week is a new, and FREE, map for Halo 3. We’re always looking for an excuse to crank a Halo 3 multiplayer game (it’s a lot easier than trying to create your own) so this is great news. The map is called the Cold Storage Map and is a redesign of the Chill Out map from Halo: CE.
A new Xbox Live Arcade game was released, entitled Schizoid. The first game to hit Xbox Live Arcade created using the XNA Studio Express, we’re hoping for big things. Quickly, XNA is the software that has been made available for everyday peeps like you and I so that we can try our hand at creating games for Xbox Live Arcade. We’ll post more details about the authoring software and we’ll also ramp out a review of the game when we have the opportunity to play it (tomorrow hopefully!)
In the meantime, enjoy your Halo 3 blasting session or your Rock Band jamming session.
