Go! Go! Break Steady Available On Xbox Live Arcade
Go! Go! Break Steady, released on Xbox Live Arcade today, is the first release from a Vancouver based independent games firm called Little Boy Games. Winning good reviews so far for what could really only be described as a quirky take on a beat matching game and bizarrely great animations, it costs 800 Microsoft Points and is available for download right now.
The hand drawn animations do really make it stand out from the usual attempts at graphics. In all honesty, it’s probably going to be largely down to a matter of personal preference as to whether you enjoy the look and the 20 song hip hop soundtrack but it is, at least, trying to be a little different.
As you play through the progressively difficult levels, matching the beats and thus solving problems, you’ll probably learn to love it the game and the animations that have a certain Ed, Edd, And Eddy style to them.
It also has a strong multiplayer offering with cooperative and versus action over Xbox Live. It’s certain to have you bandying around words like dope and attempting your own beat box impersonations of the scratching and hip hop stylee effects.
