Battlefield Bad Company is still blazing away at the top of the charts while there’s a certain uneasy lack of movement around the rest of the charts with only two games dropping places in the last week. Call of Duty 4 made its way back into the top ten while The Bourne Conspiracy dropped out to make way.

Halo 3 is staging something of a second charge; having founds it way back into the top ten last week it has risen another spot to 9th this week. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is another that’s benefiting from these quiet times rising back to 6th in its 36th week in the charts.

The longest serving game in the top ten is Halo 3, having spent a staggering 44 weeks up there. Another 8 and it claim a whole year. Guitar Hero III and Call of Duty have racked up 36 and 38 weeks respectively while GTA IV holds up the rear with 14 weeks. It just goes to show that developers get better as they make their way through a series I guess.
